Job Summary

As Grants Manager, you will play a critical role in fulfilling our commitment to seek and support initiatives that redefine their respective fields. Reporting to the President of Mae Philanthropies, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of the foundation’s grantmaking activities. From driving insights through data, to interfacing with grantees, to conducting peer and media landscape analysis, your work will directly impact the shape and success of our strategic objectives and our mission to foster positive, long-term, sustainable change. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on grantees and issue areas

  • Perform landscaping to evaluate the impact and scope of potential initiatives

  • Gather and analyze data and reports from grantees to assess program effectiveness

  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations

  • Support the development and implementation of grantmaking strategies

  • Contribute to the evaluation of grant proposals and ongoing projects

  • Assist with data management and reporting processes

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience within the philanthropic sector

  • Thrives in an agile workplace environment and is comfortable working independently

  • Strong ability to synthesize information into visually compelling and digestible presentations

  • Proficient in data collection and reporting, particularly with respect to grantmaking and management

  • Strong research and analytic skills

  • Excellent at written and oral communication

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Location preference: Bay Area, CA. Remote candidates will be considered.

Compensation

  • Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year

  • Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision and PTO
